The book includes a short interview with our singer, János, conducted back in 2015 about Barackca and Hungarian punk. This new book traces punk rock’s rise from underground clubs to a

bands and major figures from the punk scene, the book explores

how punk spread across the United States, Great Britain, Europe,

La n America, Asia, Africa, Australia, and beyond.

More than a music history, the book examines the a tude,

rebellion, imagery, and underground spirit that shaped genera ons of outsiders. It also explores

how punk evolved differently inside countries facing censorship, poli cal pressure, and social

unrest.

The book features interviews, commentary, rare stories, and firsthand perspec ves connected

Vítek Formánek lives in East Bohemia in the Czech Republic. He has wri en extensively on the

Royal Air Force, punk rock, film, speedway, autograph collec ng, homelessness, and disability

issues. A longme social worker, he has published more than 1,500 ar cles in Czech and English

media and authored over 30 books.

Eva Csölleová lives in Eastern Bohemia in the Czech Republic. Alongside Vítek Formánek, she has

co-wri en books covering punk rock, film, the Royal Air Force, autograph collec ng,

homelessness, and disability issues. She is also a photographer whose work has appeared

throughout their publica ons.
